Quality Ingredients

Petztucka uses only the highest quality ingredients in all our pet foods. It has a meat content of 70% which is sourced from chicken, beef, lamb and kangaroo, fresh locally grown vegetables, carrot, celery, broccoli, cauliflower and sweet potato and the use of cereals from rice, potato, arrowroot and amaranth. Additionally, Petztucka also includes glucosamine and chondroitin to help combat osteoarthritis in older pets.

Possibly the most important ingredient used in Petztucka is Yucca extract, Saccharomyces cerevisiae boulardii.

What is Glucosamine?

Glucosamine is a naturally occurring enzyme which promotes healthy joints and connective tissues, maintaining the integrity of joints assisting in wound healing, strengthening the collagen fibres reducing the path of osteoarthritis.

Dogs and cats are in better condition now than they have ever been. The advances in pet foods such as Petztucka is resulting in pets living longer with a higher quality of life. Whilst owners are enjoying their four legged companions for longer, there is a greater chance of pets developing age associated problems such as osteoarthritis.

Pets produce a certain amount of glucosamine within their bodies. With age, this glucosamine production diminishes, causing the cartilage in weight bearing joints to weaken and then harden, possibly leading to painful bone spurs, deformed joints, limited joint movement and limping.

For over 20 years, glucosamine has been clinically proven to slow the progression of osteoarthritis and ease joint pain associated with osteoarthritis. Glucosamine also appears to inhibit the production chondrocytes, the enzymes that breakdown and destroy cartilage.

What is Chondroitin?

Chondroitin along with glucosamine are a non-vitamin, non-mineral supplement which have anti inflammatory properties. Chondroitin along with glucosamine are commonly used for joint pain and osteoarthritis. Chondroitin can reduce associated pain, increase mobility and flexibility and act as a natural pain reliever.

Some studies have shown that chondroitin may help slow the progression of osteoarthritis by encouraging the body to produce new cartilage as needed, whilst also blocking the breakdown of existing cartilage.

What is Saccharomyces Cerevisiae (Boulardii)?

Saccharomyces cerevisiae boulardii consists of a live yeast culture which provides active enzymes. These cells have many beneficial health attributes such as maximising gut health, supporting healthy stool quality, enhancing nutrition absorption and boosting immune response, increases milk fat and production in lactating bitches and improve coat and body condition.

Yucca Shidergera

Yucca Shidergera extract is a naturally grown herbaceous ingredient which physically cleanses the lining of the gut and large intestine upon ingestion. It is not absorbed into your pet’s system however, it remains within the bowel, removing years of residual debris from the small “fingers” of the large intestine called the villi. It reduces the foul smells from rotting and fermenting excreta and massively aids the absorption of the micro-nutrients available to your pet from the quality preparations of Petztucka. The result is a happier and healthier animal which consumes far less food, therefore forming smaller and more naturally consistent stools with far less smell.

Ultimately, when your pet eats Petztucka, they will consume less food, you will save money and your happier and healthier pet will stop producing obnoxious wind and faecal odours in your home or garden.

What is MSM?

Methylsulfonyl methane offers dogs several potential benefits, primary related to joint health inflammation, and overall well being. It is often used to reduce joint pain and improve mobility, particularly in older or active dogs prone to joint issues. MSM may support skin and coat health, boost immune system and aid in digestion.

Why Added Zinc

Dogs do not produce zinc naturally and must obtain it from a diet.

Petz Tucka Puppy Food

Petztucka Puppy Food is more than just a Puppy Food it is a specifically formulated food to supply your Puppy with all the goodness they require to develop in the early month of growing.

Petztucka Puppy Food has all the goodness of other Petztucka products which includes glucosamine and chondroitin.

Petztucka Puppy contains Amaranth Grain which is high in Protein and rich in Lysine, Iron and Calcium. Amaranth Grain has the highest level of protein of any grain and the quality of this protein
is excellent. Amaranth also contains significantly high quantities of animo acids, 8 essential and 14 non-essential and significant amount of vitamin E.

Amaranth Grain has exceptionally high nutritive value with high digestibility and Amino Acids close to optimal requirements, highcarbohydrates, quality dietary fibre, gluten free and no cholesterol.

Preservatives

Petztucka products do not contain any artificial colours, flavours or preservatives. All of our products are made with quality meats, 100% natural produce and DO NOT contain Sulphur Dioxide.

Our products have a shelf life of six months from the date of manufacture. The expiry date of our products can be found on the clips at either end. One end is stamped with the year of expiry and the other is stamped with the day and month of expiry.

You can be assured that when feeding your pets Petztucka they are receiving all the nutrients they need to live a happy and healthy life.

Petz Tucka rolls

Petztucka rolls are available in three main varieties and on speciality. Mixed Protein and Single Protein (Chicken) are both available in 3kg and 1.5kg sizes. Single Protein (Roo) is available in a 1.5kg size and our speciality Puppy formulation is produced in a 1.5kg size also.

Feeding your pet with Petz Tucka

When starting your pet on Petztucka, it is recommended to feed the same amount as you would its normal food, ie. 1Kg of normal
meat=1Kg of Petztucka. Over the next 10 days, gradually reduce the amount of Petztucka food to finally reach a level equal to
approximately 20 grams of Petztucka per 1Kg of pet body weight. Please remember that dogs are individuals and this is only a guide.
Monitor your pet’s condition and feed accordingly.

Petztucka Pet Foods are a semi-moist preparation, far lower in moisture than many of the “wet” foods available (such as the canned variety). Due to this, you will probably notice your pet taking larger amounts of water each day. This is the desired outcome so please ensure you constantly provide plenty of fresh, clean cool water at all times.
